Hilton Garden Inn Uniontown

Whoever built this hotel opted for a top-of-the-line design package. This is a newish, well-appointed hotel. The common areas offer a variety of seating options, all very pleasant. Everything, including our room, was clean. The bed was super comfy, as at all Hilton properties. For once in recent experience, the hotel bathroom had enough towel bars and hooks, not to mention very nice, very absorbent towels. Because we are late risers, we didn't take advantage of breakfast here, but the bar was a nice place to hang out after returning from dinner (although the bartender did make my bourbon-and-soda order with 7-Up--oops!).

The rooms was spacious and clean. The location was close to many restaurants which was Very Important since the hotel restaurant and bar were closed since the staff didn’t show up for work 😡 this was the only thing wrong with our stay, but it was a big thing since we had booked this hotel for the restaurant and lounge amenities. Scott, the front desk clerk, pretty much ran the whole place and did a good job.

Uniontown used to an acceptable place...not any more. Service is terrible everywhere, including this hotel. "Business center has not been working for months" They changed the HVAC system for the worse. The cleaning people are not considerate of the guests... Breakfast was barely edible. I used to come for business. No More. Another Pa. town in decline! No bed bugs earns 1 star.....

We recently used the Hilton Garden for our wedding. I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and I never experienced a general and sales manager that were so unprofessional and rude. We received so many complaints from our wedding guests. The general manager without my knowledge added a $250 charge to my card without letting me know or providing me with a receipt at time of check out. I was out of the country for 2 weeks and when I called the day I was back to ask why I was charged extra, the sales manager acted like he didn’t know what I was talking about. Finally after I was being questioned he was able to find the charge. I had to ask at that time for a receipt be emailed to me. Last I checked, just because you have someone’s card on file doesn’t give you the right to charge their card without authorization or receipt! Of course it’s been almost a month and never heard anything from corporate about the matter. If you want good customer service with kind and generous managers and staff you’re better off going to Holiday Inn which we used as well for guests, and heard nothing but good things. Overall I’m just upset and very disappointed.

This is weird. It's a Hilton, but doesn't feel like it. I don't understand who decided to put the dry and clean towels in the shower. The fit/finish just isn't there for the Hilton name. We had a work thing there and it was ok, but the dropped the ball on the catered lunch and only made enough food for about half the group. Update: The other session this spring was the lunch incident. This was the view from my hotel room. I don't understand the need for this exterior floodlight. I also could post about the party that was there on Tuesday night. I don't think many of those guests were staying at the hotel, but I had to give up a parking spot for them. And it probably isn't going to look good if you setup a tent in the handicapped parking spaces.
